This course presents a comprehensive view of the principles that govern how a single fertilized egg develops into a complex organism. Developmentalbiology is an integrative discipline that includes other fields of biology such as molecular and cell biology, genetics, biochemistry, evolution, neurobiology and physiology. Through lectures and laboratory exercises, students learn the experimental approaches used by scientists to study developmental processes.Prerequisites: BIOL 212, BIOL 220.
