Robertson An introduction to the basic concepts of probability and mathematical statistics: axioms and properties of probability, continuous and discrete random variables, mathematical expectation, variance, the normal, binomial, Poisson, and other important distributions. Additional topics include functions of random variables, the Central Limit Theorem, and sampling distributions (Chi-square, t, and F). Prerequisite: MATH 113. Offered in the fall.
