Staff This course focuses primarily on selections from speeches of Demosthenes and at least one of the following orators: Gorgias, Isocrates, Lysias, Aeschines. The course explores Greek prose styles and rhetorical strategies by comparing these authors. Speeches from other genres of literature (e.g., epic, tragedy, history, philosophy) may also be included. Prerequisite: GREK 201 or higher, or permission of instructor.
