J. Harsin This course studies selected problems in French history from the end of the reign of Louis XIV to the present. Each seminar focuses on a particular topic (the old regime and revolution, the revolutionary tradition in the 19th century, the inter-war years, and World War II, for example). Prerequisite: HIST 233 or 334, or permission of instructor. Normally offered in the fall.
