Description:

L. Schwarzer The student works closely with a faculty member to develop and realize a body of studio work suitable for presentation that serves as a capstone for the major. Students meet twice a week as a group to critique work in progress. These critiques are led by the senior projects professor and include the critical language acquired during the previous term in ARTS 405. Work from the project is shown as part of a senior exhibition at the end of the term, and nominations for departmental honors are based on the quality of the work done. All majors with a studio arts emphasis are required to take and complete ARTS 406 in the spring of the senior year. Prerequisite: major in studio arts, ARTS 405, or permission of instructor. Offered spring term only.
