R. McVaugh This course introduces students to the demands of advanced art-historical study through critical engagement with the methods employed by art historians working today. It also considers analytical approaches utilized by some of the founding figures of the discipline. The course is required of all senior art and art history majors. Offered fall term only. Prerequisite: One 400-level art history seminar.
