(Prerequisites: WCM 601 through WCM 609 or approval of Lead Faculty) This course will teach students how to evaluate the impact of continually advancing wireless technologies on the varied perspectives of competitors and consumers. Students will study these impacts from the perspectives of wireless service providers, wireless equipment providers, wireless application providers, and consumers. Different business models employed by the various industry segments will be studied to gain insight into the interplay between business models and advances in technology. Finally, the course will study the impact of global competitive pressures and both national and international regulatory bodies on technology choices.
