HUB 680 - Integrative Project in Human Behavior

Institution:
National University
Subject:
Description:
(Capstone Course) (Prerequisite: HUB 650) The course is the capstone project for the MAHB program. Each student conducts a major project that integrates a topic of special interest. The project will analyze and synthesize theoretical and applied concepts from a specialized area selected by the student. Specific course requirements will vary depending upon the instructor, but the student should expect to produce a 20-30 page paper (APA style) that will be evaluated on clarity, thoroughness, style, format and creativity. An oral presentation of the student's work is also expected. Literature reviews and empiricallybased studies are the norm, but other formats are acceptable with the approval of the instructor. The project is conducted for a two-month period and the student may take other courses concurrently if approved by the Committee for the Application of Standards (CAS). The student will normally be required to develop a project proposal during HUB 650 (Foundations of Behavioral Research) or HUB 660 (Organizational Assessment) that can then be completed during the capstone course. This course may not be taken as an independent study.
