Focuses primarily on the history of China or Japan, with inclusion of the recent histories of other East Asian entities (North Korea, South Korea, Hong Kong, and Taiwan) in an alternating format. Covers the selected East Asian countries' relationship with the U.S. in the global context. (Satisfies multicultural studies component of the general education curriculum).
