This course focuses on topics of special importance to students culminating their undergraduate preparation and assuming leadership roles in classroom and school settings. Key topics include: classroom management techniques; participating in professional meetings; managing and supervising adults as well as students; conducting parent conferences; developing a professional portfolio; interviewing and resume development; and understanding professional contracts and licensure. This is the capstone seminar in the Teacher Education program, and it is required in conjunction with the appropriate student teaching course(s). Prerequisites: ED 233 and ED methods courses with at least a grade of C (2.00) in each. Acceptance into student teaching required.
