Frequently, the impulse behind writing comes from the awareness of our mortality and our desire to care for one another. Writers, including those who are doctors and nurses, know this and have created a rich trove of literature from all genres about these experiences. This course will examine that literature in order to stimulate students writing and research. Fulfills the GE requirement in English/writing.
