This course will provide an introduction to poetry and fiction, emphasizing reading, analysis, and interpretation. Students will be asked to read a variety of literature that reflects both the history and the diversity of the genres and to respond orally and in writing. Fulfills the general education requirement in literature. Prerequisite: One course selected from the general education writing courses.
