Study of factors within the home setting which may influence a child's development and behavior with an emphasis on the importance of parent involvement in early childhood and elementary programs; a study of factors affecting parent-school interaction and the need for cooperative effort in encouraging and guiding the learning experiences of children with and without disabilities; examination of techniques for parent involvement and methods of working with home and community resources to enhance development of the child's potential. An elective for elementary education students, offered concurrently with ED 332 but does not include a field experience. Prerequisites: PS 124, senior status or consent of instructor.
