This course includes two- and three-dimensional studio problems in tie-dye, batik, weaving, printing on fabric, and a variety of contemporary fiber art techniques. Emphasis is placed on taking both traditional and contemporary approaches to fiber media, concepts, and processes. Lecture: one hour per week. Studio: four hours per week. No prerequisites. Priority for entering the course will be given to: 1) continuing art majors, 2) transfer art majors and 3) non-art majors.
