An introductory course in the ceramic arts providing students with an opportunity to use clay as a three-dimensional medium for self-expression. Both hand-building and wheel-throwing techniques will be taught. Major firing processes will include Stoneware and Raku ware. Lecture: one hour per week. Studio: four hours per week. No prerequisites. Priority for entering the course will be given to: 1) continuing art majors, 2) transfer art majors and 3) non-art majors.
