An introduction to the study of assessment instruments and measurement strategies in teaching. Strong emphasis will be placed on the construction of classroom examinations, an analysis of alternative forms of classroom assessment, and the measurement strategies that relate to grading and reporting data from these assessment tools. In addition, students will investigate the processes of selecting, administering, and interpreting the results of published tests. Same as Secondary Education 312. Prerequisites: Education 225 and 237. Offered every fall.
