Topics include the role of natural selection and drift in human evolution; inferring the origins of new diseases; the effects of genomic conflict on speciation; and the challenges that hybridization poses to understanding the tree of life. Prerequisites: BIO 151, 152; (BIO 248 strongly recommended).
