A continuation of the general chemistry sequence. Topics covered include qualitative and quantitative aspects of solutions; the properties of solutions; acid/base chemistry; physical and chemical properties of gas phase systems; the liquid and solid states of matter; and coordination compounds. Four class periods per week. Must be taken in sequence. Concurrent registration in CHEM 112L is required. Prerequisite: CHEM 111 with a grade of C or better.
