An introduction to the culture, economy and structure of the global electronic media. This course shall discuss the operation of international broadcasting at the national level as it pertains to regions of North America, South America, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Australia in the areas of news, programming and sales. This course shall examine radio, television, cable, satellite, microwave, fiber optics, electronic print, information systems and new technologies emerging in the countries that comprise these regions.
