Emphasizes the development of tools and skills necessary for realizing individual professional goals, vehicles and processes for change in the various fields of dance within our society. This course develops an awareness of managing life and work as a professional in dance. Topics include basic business principles as well as career self-management and an overview of career opportunities. Guest speakers include faculty and staff from within the University as well as experts from the field. Formerly DA 430 Prerequisites & Notes Prerequisites: DACR 212, DACR 232 or DACR 222 Open to majors in the School of Dance only. Credits: 2 cr, 2 hrs
