Topics will include genetic control of developmental processes, cell-cell signaling, and the molecular basis of differentiation and pattern formation. Examples from vertebrate, invertebrate, and plant systems will be used. (1) Lecture: 3 hrs/wk.; Laboratory: 3 hrs/wk. Prerequisite: Biology 215.
