The theory and practice of the principal methods of instrumental analysis. Areas include electrochemistry, chromatography (GC and LC), spectroscopic methods (UV-Vis, IR, NMR), mass spectrometry, X-ray analysis, and atomic absorption. (1) Lecture: 3 hrs/wk.; Laboratory: 3 hrs/wk. Prerequisite: Chem 331. (Offered in 2007-2008 and alternate years.)
