Full course for one semester. This course is an in-depth look into the ways in which actions, perceptions, and the language-processing system are intertwined. We will examine the extent to which spatial and visual representations are activated during language comprehension and how our actions and the physical environment guide our language comprehension. Students are expected to design and conduct a research project. Prerequisite: Psychology 121 or Linguistics 311, or consent of the instructor. Completion of Psychology 393 is also recommended.
