Critical study of a single genre of literature, such as autobiography, epic, literary non-fiction, lyric, romance, and short fiction. Works will be placed in relationship to literary, social, and historical movements and to current critical issues. (1) Lecture: 3 hrs/wk. Prerequisites: English 240 or 250, and one other 200-level ENGL literature course.
