This course will cover introductory concepts of chemistry. Special attention is given to topics of current interest, such as environmental chemistry, polymer chemistry, and household chemistry. This course meets general education requirements and is designed for non-science majors. It is recommended for students who need an introduction to chemistry prior to taking CHEM 211 General Chemistry. Two lectures and one laboratory per week. Additional course fee is required.
