Theories of such philosophers and writers as Plato, Dante, Pope, Kant, Wordsworth, Shelley, Hegel, Marx, Freud, Jung, Robert Penn Warren, Sartre, Woolf, and Derrida are applied to texts ranging from the Bible to Ulysses.
