An introduction to the medium of serigraphy (screenprint, silkscreen). Topics include working with handmade and photographic stencils, color and registration, editioning, and extended uses of the medium. Students will work with hand-drawn, photographic, and digital images. Work on individual studio projects is at the core of this class. Students also engage in group and individual critiques, library research, slide presentations, museum and gallery visits. Prerequisite(s): Studio Art 101, 102 or 105 Unit(s): 1
