A study of the contemporary situation of the Christian religion worldwide. The course will focus on Christianity in discrete geographical areas and will highlight the diversity and richness of Christian cultures. Areas of study include Eastern Orthodoxy, Christianity in Africa, Asia and Latin America, the rise of Pentecostalism, and Christians in relation to other religious traditions. Prerequisites: A 100-level Religious Studies course and at least sophomore standing. Credits: 3 cr. Liberal Studies Requirement: Religious Studies
