A survey on the distinctive expression of Christianity that first developed and flourished on the Western fringes of Europe and subsequently influenced the development of Christianity on the continent. The course will focus on the theology, spirituality, and practices developed by Celtic Christians from the fifth to the fifteenth century to enculturate their understanding of the Christian faith. Prerequisites: A 200-level Religious Studies course. Credits: 3 cr.
