A study of the major thinkers of Christianity, Judaism, and Islam, and their attempts to use Greek categories in order to understand the world, themselves, and God. This historical period ranges from the fourth to the fourteenth centuries, and studies such figures as Augustine, Anselm, Averroes, Maimonides, and Thomas Aquinas. Prerequisites: One 200-level Philosophy course Credits: 4 cr.
