This course introduces students to the study of international relations, focusing especially on the interactions between states and non-state actors in the international environment. Emphasis is placed on understanding the major theoretical approaches to international relations, and applying them to consider enduring and contemporary issues and problems in international affairs. Credits: 3-4 cr. Misc. Notes: Sections that carry four credits, recommended for majors, are a writing-intensive option. Other sections carry three credits. Optional Applied Language Component (one credit).
