3 (1 + 4) Prerequisite: THE 2240 and THE 2270 or Permission of instructor This course examines the fundamentals of rigging, stage machinery and mechanics, metal working, fabrication with thermoplastics and foams, laminating techniques, "soft" sculpture construction, construction of non-rectilinear scenery, first echelon power tools maintenance, and industry-standard safety requirements and practices.
