2 (2 + 0) Prerequisite: SUR 2520 with a grade of "C" or better, or Permission of instructorThis is an introductory course on applying astronomical observations to surveying and mapping projects. Students acquire knowledge about positional determination by astronomical observations and determining the direction (azimuth, bearing) of lines on the earth's surface from astronomic observations. The students compute the azimuth of a line from actual survey observations.
