3 (3 + 0) Prerequisite: Minimum performance scores on the reading and writing preassessment placement tests This is a basic skill course in the art of communicating with people. This class provides students with both the exposure to theory and the opportunity to practice developing basic communication skills including listening, perceiving, asserting, nonverbal and verbal language sensitivity and problem-solving tactics. The purpose of this course is to increase student's skills and knowledge in interpersonal communication theory and concepts. (General Studies-Level I, Communications)
