3 (3 + 0) Prerequisite/Corequisite: ENG 2010 or SLHS 1500 or PSY 1800 This course allows students to investigate theories of language development and describe language developmental patterns in toddler, preschool and school-age children. The interrelationship between linguistic, cognitive and social competencies in communicative development will be explored. Students will gain knowledge concerning the diversity of normal communicative development found in a pluralistic society.
