3 (3 + 0) Prerequisite: PSY 1001 and PSY 2310, or Permission of instructor This course surveys the field of human factors engineering focusing on identifying the strengths and limitations of humans, in order to apply human factors design principles in optimizing human interactions with both mechanical and environmental systems, as well as workplace, home, and other environments. Emphasis is on the industrial applications of human factors design principles and psychological research data.
