3 (2 + 1) Prerequisite: SED 3600, SED 2200, SED 3700 This course is designed to introduce pre-service teachers to assessment, curriculum and instruction for students with severe disabilities. Focus will be given to including students in their neighborhood schools, homework, and community. The course also emphasizes the selection and efficacy of assistive device technologies. A minimum 45-hour, field-based experience is required.
