2 (0 + 4) Prerequisite: PHY 2811, PHY 2711, MTH 3420, satisfaction of all Level I and Level II General Studies requirements and Senior standing or Permission of instructor This course introduces more advanced methods of computational physics. Several complex physical phenomena are modeled numerically. Topics include nonlinear second-order differential equations associated with Newton's second law, partial differential equations associated with the wave equation, heat diffusion, Schr dinger's equation, and methods of fitting and analyzing data.
