6 (3 + 2 + 64) Prerequisite: Successful completion of NURA courses, labs, and clinicals in accordance with the curriculum sequence earning a "C" or betterThis course focuses on the management of nursing care for adults and older adults experiencing alterations in health. The student is expected to examine the multiple bio-psychosocio- cultural factors important in prioritizing and determining nursing interventions. The nursing process, concept mapping and current research findings are used to organize care in advance of providing care to the patient throughout the care process. This course integrates classroom, clinical and lab components. Students practice and apply skills and knowledge learned in the classroom and lab to direct nursing care.
