3 (2 + 2) Prerequisite: ENG 1020 and At least junior standing; or Permission of instructor This course enables students to develop awareness and knowledge of philosophical and aesthetic foundations of the arts with a specific focus on art and music. Appropriate methods of teaching art and music in the elementary curriculum, including the integration of literacy and mathematics, will be explored. Students will use creative and critical thinking skills to develop artistic sensibility. Credit will be granted for only one prefix (ARTH or MUS).
