2 (0 + 53) Prerequisite: MTL 3620 or Permission of instructor Corequisite: MTL 3630 or permission of instructor Prospective teachers enrolled in this course will spend at least 80 hours with a mentor teacher in a secondary mathematics classroom. During this time, prospective teachers will apply the mathematical knowledge base developed in the mathematics major and in MTL 3620, and the framework for teaching developed in MTL 3630, to the problems of practice that arise in public-school classrooms of diverse learners. Prospective teachers in this course will direct a Secondary Mathematics Lesson Study, a mini teacher work sample.
