3 (3 + 0) Prerequisite: Satisfaction of the Level I Mathematics requirement and either ENG 1010 or the Level I Communication Requirement This course is designed to focus on the impacts and implications technology has or will have on society. The course presents students with the opportunity to study and develop an understanding of how technology affects people, families, education, economics, politics, and ethics. History and future implications will also be studied. Emphasis will be placed on people's understanding of industrial materials, processes, and control of technology.
