2 (2 + 0) Prerequisite: HSP 2030 The rate of abuse of psychoactive substances among gays and lesbians is significantly higher than in the rest of the population. Violence while under the influence brings these individuals into counseling. The issue of homosexuality in the greater society must be considered when counseling these individuals. This course addresses the lifestyle patterns of homosexuals and the relationship to substance abuse and violence treatment.
