3 (3 + 0) Prerequisite: HIS 1020 or Permission of instructor This class will examine the changes in Russian history from the Russian and Bolshevik revolutions of 1917 to the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991 and current events in Russia. It will detail the transformation of the Russian Empire into the Soviet Union and outline the social and political changes that contributed to the rise and fall of the Soviet Union.
