3 (3 + 0) Prerequisite: Completion of Level II General Studies lower-division literature course (ENG 1100, ENG 1110, ENG 1120, or ENG 1310), or Permission of instructor; satisfaction of Level I General Studies course requirements This course is a study of Greek and Roman myths, their parallels in other mythologies, and their occurrences in literature and criticism. By tracing the modifications of various myths from their most ancient forms of literature, the course will acquaint students with the continued vitality of mythology.
