3 (2 + 2) Prerequisite: ENG 2860 or Permission of instructor In this course students will examine a grouping of cinematic productions in their historical, cultural contexts. Films will be grouped based on considerations such as nation of origin (for example, German Cinema), content (for example, Silent Comedy), or style (for example, Film Noir). Films will be screened during laboratory hours. This course may be repeated under different topics;
