3 (3 + 0) Prerequisite: Satisfaction of the Level I mathematics requirement and CJC 1010 This course is an introduction to basic research methods and statistics used in criminal justice research. The course explores quantitative and qualitative methods used to study crime and criminology. This course provides a basic understanding for criminal justice professionals as consumers of applied research findings as well as lays the foundation for those undergraduates seeking to pursue careers in crime analysis and/or graduate studies.
