4 (2 + 4) Prerequisite: BIO 2100 or Permission of instructor The identification and collection of the common vascular plants of Colorado is studied. Lectures include principles of plant terminology, characteristics of major plant families, phylogenetic relationships, and uses of the plants. Laboratories consist of identification of the plants in the field and on herbarium mounts. A student collection is required.
