3 (0 + 6) Prerequisite: ART 1101 and ART 1531; either ( ARTH 1600, ART 1141, and ART 1501) or (COM 2430 and JRN 1010); or Permission of instructor This course provides an introduction to the fundamental theories and principles of communication design. Emphasis is on creative problem-solving techniques, processes, and concepts which integrate specific design technologies. Within this context, students will gain an awareness of how design functions broadly within society today as a provocative communicative force.
