3 (0 + 6) Prerequisite: ART 2237, ART 1101 and ART 1531; either ( ARTH 1600, ARTH 1700, ART 1141, ART 1501 and ART 2101) or (COM 2430 and JRN 1010); or Permission of instructor This course provides an introduction to the use of video imaging as art. Technical components include preproduction, production, and an introduction to postproduction. The history, theory, and criticism of preproduction and production of experimental video art of the second half of the 20th century are discussed. Students will be required to provide an external hard drive that meets department specifications.
